About Color 4 Madam

I started Color 4 Madam out of necessity. My children and I have different hair textures, and I found myself buying several different products for each of us. Upon researching, I discovered the toxic chemicals in most of the products we use daily—deodorants, lotions, hair oils, and more. I wanted a safer, healthier alternative for my family, so I created my own products that not only healed but also smelled divine.

My background and entrepreneurial influence

I come from a long line of entrepreneurs. My great-great-grandfather was a Black man who owned a cotton plantation—something very uncommon during his time—and was also a pastor. My great-grandmother was a businesswoman, and my grandmother owned her own nail salon. My mother owns a restaurant and catering business, and my children are also entrepreneurs. This legacy of hard work and determination has been a constant source of inspiration for me, and I carry that entrepreneurial spirit with me every day.

The most rewarding part of owning Color 4 Madam

The most rewarding part of owning my business is inspiring and educating other entrepreneurs to pursue and manifest their dreams. I love being able to share my story and help others take the leap into entrepreneurship.

Challenges along the way

The most difficult challenge I faced was losing my great-grandmother, who not only supported me but was instrumental in helping me start Color 4 Madam. She pushed me on days when I wasn’t as motivated, and her encouragement meant the world to me. After her passing, I put Color 4 Madam on pause, but my good friend Brina encouraged me to restart, and then I seen Ms. Tabitha Brown on instagram say, “God said I have answered your prayers. And it is still just the beginning”, and something in me clicked and I knew it was time. I’m forever grateful for that push. It was a turning point in my journey, and I haven’t looked back since.

My favorite product

Honestly, all my products are my favorite. I use them daily and can’t live without them. My skin is very sensitive, and I trust these products to take care of me without causing irritation. I don’t use anything else.

My advice to anyone looking to start their own business is simple: Put God first, trust Him with everything, just do it, and limit what you share about your vision until it’s manifested. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back—take that first step, and the rest will follow.
